That hygienist is top shelf. Great experience. Very kind and knowledgeable. I already got the toothpaste and floss she recommends and it's already better. Valley Vista dental Center makes my dental life better!!

Hygienist thorough and did a good job of cleaning my teeth. She's very friendly and knew my chart well. My personal preference is a quieter and more relaxing experience while in the dentist's chair, but that's possibly just me. Many patients may like the distraction from what's going on in their mouth. I was surprised that the dentist did not come in to take a look at my teeth before I left, and to talk briefly with me. In my past experiences, my dentist has always made it a point to talk with me before I leave (even just a cleaning appointment) to do his/her visual check and ask me if there were any issues I wished to discuss with him/her. The hygienist did ask me if there were any changes or issues and we discussed one item, but I think that the doctor has more knowledge that he/she might attach to whatever the patient has to say. Just wondering if this is standard for Medicare Advantage patients? Front desk person was also very welcoming.

It was my first time visiting Valley Vista Dental Center and I was really impressed and happy with my experience! As someone who has pretty bad anxiety and white coat syndrome, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the visit turned out to be great and they gained a new patient! I especially want to recognize and thank the dental hygienist, Catherine, who will now be my new hygienist for future all my future cleaning appointments. She took great care of me, and she truly did an excellent job. She was very thorough while cleaning my teeth and took the time to listen to my concerns. I have very sensitive teeth, so cleanings can be pretty uncomfortable for me, but she was incredibly patient and gentle the entire time. She kept checking in to make sure I was okay and adjusted when needed so it wouldn’t be painful, which made a huge difference for me! My visit confirmed to me that Cathrine genuinely cares about her patients and takes pride in the work she does. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the appointment and explained things as she went, which I really appreciated. I just recently had a broken cap replaced. Dr. Layton and his assistant Lizzie did a wonderful job in “replacing the cap” in less than 2 1/2 hours. They were both very professional, knowledgeable and extremely detailed. I give Dr. Layton and his team all high marks and would recommend this facility to others.

Valley Vista Dental is such a welcoming and professional office. From the front desk to the clinical team, everyone is kind, organized, and makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. My dental cleaning with Catherine was especially great. She’s gentle, thorough, and so thoughtful with her feedback. I really appreciate the recommendations she gives to help me keep my oral hygiene at 100%. She takes the time to explain everything clearly and truly cares about her patients. She’s an awesome addition to the team, and I’ll always look forward to my next dental visit!
